MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: President Carter’s Visit. DESCRIPTION: President Jimmy Carter arrives at Heathrow Airport and is greeted by Prime Minister, James Callaghan. The following day, the President visited Newcastle upon Tyne and received the ‘Freedom of the City’. Then it was on to a brief visit to Washington, County Durham, where Mr Carter planted a tree.
