MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: International Athletics. DESCRIPTION: Many Olympic stars came to Crystal Palace for the International Athletics Meeting. John Walker of New Zealand was out to break the UK Mile Record, but his time of 3 minutes 55.1 seconds was not quite good enough. Runners from five countries lined up for the Two Mile Race, first past the post was another ‘Kiwi’, Rod Dixon. SHOTLIST: MS start of mens 400 metre hurdles. Pan with them as they go round corner. MLS as they come into final straight at 51’ No 1 Alan Pascoe crosses the line first. MCU Alan Pascoe. MS Jacek Wazola on high jump, which he clears. MS Dwight Stones on run up for high jump.
