MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: England V. Ireland (Rugby). DESCRIPTION: Both at the bottom of the International Rugby Union Table, England and Ireland clash at Twickenham. It was a close game as the final score, victory to Ireland by 13 points to 12 showed. SHOTLIST: BV England kick off No 10 AGB Old, pull back to show forwards. CU crowd. CU scrum England get ball out at 41’ but England player is brought down at 46’ but another player picks up ball but is tackled and a loose ruck is formed. CU crowd. SV pan Alan Old of England takes a penalty and scores between posts. CU 3-0 to England scoreboard. LV pan England kick another penalty (Alan Old) 6-0 to England. GV cheering crowd. SV pan England running up the field at 86’ an England player deflects kick by Ireland, but Ireland player picks up ball and goes forward and passes to No 12 Gibson who runs over their line at 95’ but try is disallowed. LV crowd. TV scrum England get ball it is passed along the line but at 113’ No 13 Maxwell is caught with ball and Irish side get it and kick ahead at 122’. GV players running for ball at 127’ loose ruck forms. SV crowd. Half time score 9-0 England. BV No 12 Gibson kicking off for Ireland. SV England players dropping on ball on England line at 148’ Irish players come up to wrestle for ball. GV Irish No 10 McGann takes a penalty in front of England posts, score 9-3 to England. GV crowd. GV Ireland attacking 183’ man with ball is brought down. GV Ireland’s McGann ‘10’ takes a penalty, score 9-10 to Ireland, pan to crowd. CU scrum Ireland get ball out and McGann drop kicks it and score 9-13 to Ireland. SV scoreboard 9-13. GV England attacking. GV crowd. FV Old No 10 of England takes penalty. CU scoreboard 12-13 to Ireland. SV players on pitch. SV crowd. GV players leaving pitch.
