MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: British Ice Skating Championships. DESCRIPTION: 16-year-old Karena Richardson became Ladies Champion for the first time, whilst John Curry took the Mens Title for the fourth successive year. In the ‘Pairs’ Skating it was a victory for husband-and-wife team Erika and Colin Taylforth. SHOTLIST: SV pan Karena Richardson on the ice going into a spin in Women’s Singles. WA in the spin pan as she skates round, does 2 jumps and spins. SV pan as she does series of jumps and spins. SV Karena Richardson receives 1st prize for Women’s Singles from Mary Peters.
