Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Powerbike Racing. DESCRIPTION: Disaster nearly marred the International Powerbike Race at Brands Hatch, when shortly after the start eight riders were involved in a crash. Fortunately nobody was seriously hurt and the Race was re-started. Ace-rider, Barry Sheene, was presented with a trophy as the year’s Star Rider. SHOTLIST: CU back wheel of motor bike revving up - zoom out. SV bikes being checked (2 shots). CU checking bike (2 shots). SV Barry Sheene receiving trophy for being Star Rider of the Year. GV start of race pan to BV as bike zooms past. CU bike being spraying with foam. GV ambulances on course. GV officials waving remaining bikes to stop. CU bike being wheeled away. GV crowd. GV race re-starts pan to BV. BV bikes out of bend. WA ditto. SV bike up straight. CU bikes flash past. LV pan bike round bend. BV board being held out for rider. GV bikes out of bend. SV pan bike up straight pan followed by winner who gets chequered flag. CU winner Barry Ditchburn.
