Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Pancake Race. DESCRIPTION: Armed from frying pans loaded with batter, the ladies of Olney set out to do battle. This annual run terminated, with at least one cameraman making a pancake landing. SHOTLIST: FV 2 contestants tossing pancakes. CU poster ‘Shrovetide Programme’ etc. LV contestants at start line. CU pancake & pan held in hands, pan up to woman. CU pancake in pan, pan up to woman. SV contestants. LV ditto at start line, they are off and the camera starts to swing about. LV contestants running toward camera & past, the camera goes all over the place. SV Paul Kavanagh cameraman sitting in road peeling pancake off himself. LV winner Sally Faulkner coming into win. SV Sally with press & being kissed by the sexton. SV press round Sally. CU marzipan Nat West cheque for £10 in flying pan, pan to Sally. SV Sally with ditto.
