Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Scotland V All Blacks. DESCRIPTION: Rugby International between Scotland and New Zealand All Blacks at Murrayfield. SHOTLIST: SV Scotland team run out onto field. TV crowd waving. GV pan All Blacks kick off and attack, Scotland takes possession and kick ball. CU man in crowd. SV pan All Blacks attack, barging through Scottish defender. SV line out scrummage for ball, All Blacks No 11 grabs ball and kicks at centre. GV pan All Blacks No 14 catches ball and attacks Scotland’s defence crash in near line and bring down All Blacks. SV crowds. GV scrum near Scottish line, ball goes clear and Wyllie No 7 (All Blacks) takes possession & goes over line for try. LV Joe Karam No 15 converts. SV crowds and scoreboard NZ 6, Scotland 0. HALF TIME. GTV line out and Scotland clear. STV both teams scramble for ball, lead up for Scotland’s penalty. GV pan Scotland’s No 15 Andy Irvine kicks first penalty ball between posts. TV crowd cheering. SV Scotland attack right into camera and No 15 Irvine is brought down by No 12 Parkinson. SV pan All Blacks attack No 12 is stopped by Scottish player who throws him from his shoulders. GV All Blacks attack, ball goes loose and No 11 Batty throws himself over line for try. LV crowds and scoreboard NZ 10 - Scotland 3. GV play on far side of field, Scotland No 10 McGeechan kicks drop goal. SV crowds cheering and scoreboard NZ 10 - Scotland 6. GV pan Scotland’s Irvine No 15 kicks 55 yards penalty, ball between posts. GTV Scottish crowds going mad with excitement score NZ 10 Scotland 9. GV pan All Black’s No 9 Going, he goes over line for try. LV crowd & scoreboard NZ 14, Scotland 9. GV mass crowds on pitch.
