MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Powerboat Race - Colour. DESCRIPTION: The usual tranquil waters of Cowes, in the Isle of Wight, was ripped apart by 46 snarling powerboats in the toughest race of its kind in the world. It was run from Cowes to Torquay and back. Aeromarine IX took first place with Black Tornado in second. Only 27 boats finished the 251 miles of open sea course. SHOTLIST: GV zoom in to start of race.
