MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Aldershot Bomb Blast. DESCRIPTION: IRA revenge - bomb blast shatters Officer’s Mess of the 16th Parachute Brigade at Aldershot. Seven people killed, five women, one gardener, and ironically a Roman Catholic Padre attached to the Regiment. Seventeen others injured. The IRA in Dublin claimed responsibility.
