Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Monte Carlo Rally. DESCRIPTION: These days rallying’s more a business than a hobby. Private entrants have little chance in the famous Monte Carlo Rally where most of the drivers are professionals and most of the cars designed primarily for the job in hand. But it’s still one of the toughest driving tests in the world and this year icy roads claimed many victims. Alpine Renaults take the first two places and share third position. Britain’s David Stone is co-driver in the winning Renault with Sweden’s Ove Anderson. SHOTLIST: CU pan up snow tyres to cars being fitted. SV pan from tyres to cars fitted.
