Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Flying History. DESCRIPTION: Frogmen and RAF Officer cadets retrieve the hulls of two English Electric flying boats - the Kingston and the Ayr - from a lake in Surrey. After cleaning and partial reconstruction they’ll be on show at the RAF MuseumAnd a new lease of life for the only remaining Swordfish torpedo-bomber as it takes to the air with an engine from the Imperial War Museum. Known as the Stringbags - these aircraft had a great wartime record and were the last bi-planes to see action. SHOTLIST: SV debris, pan to men in water salvaging. SV men in water.
