- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: All Colour Reel Woman’s World - Equal Rights. DESCRIPTION: Equal Rights. The women of Britain are demanding equal rights and equal pay - and in some cases they’re getting both. Movietone takes a look at an industry which is run mainly by women for women - one of the popular weekly magazinesPrincess Anne Opens New Hostel. It was the job of Britain’s leading young lady, Princess Anne, to open a new hostel in London to accommodate girls arriving in the capital for the first time. Run by a charitable organisation, the hostel provides accommodation for girls until they find somewhere permanent to liveAnnigoni’s Portrait of the Queen. And the Queen - whose work has been described as the hardest in the world - goes to look at the new portrait of herself by Annigoni.
