Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Shrovetide - Football. DESCRIPTION: The annual Shrovetide football match between the two halves of the town. The game goes on for two days - the pitch stretches two miles - and the players happily scrum down in the brook. SHOTLIST: GV crowd, ball is thrown at start. LS crowd on bridge. TV ball in river, fighting to ball. TSV scrum break, ball up river. STV ball thrown back into scrum. TV scrum (knee deep in water). TSV ball is thrown out. SV children up lamp-post. GV crowd move into town. SV players break down fence. GV ball is thrown, pan players up field kicking ball to top of hill.
