Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: For Safety’s Sake. DESCRIPTION: The Royal National Lifeboat Institution adopts a new life jacket and protective suit. For men who face danger in high places - on rooftops for instance, a new safety harness linked to a special pulley block will save your life if you fall off the edge. SHOTLIST: CU picture of old lifeboatmen in old equipment. Pan down man wearing new life-jacket. MLS man wearing life-jacket dives into water and floats face upwards. MS man floating on water. CU man blows whistle whilst in water. MS man in water. MLS man on rooftop puts on harness. CU one of pulleys on equipment. CU rope support connected to man’s harness. MLS man pulls on rope which then locks in place. MLS man walks towards edge of roof. MS pan ditto. TS looking down at pressmen on ground.
