Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Schooner Anticipates Launch!. DESCRIPTION: Gales of hurricane force have been sweeping the country, leaving a trail of destruction and death. Not surprisingly, the high winds were thought to have caused the sail training schooner Sir Winston Churchill to break away on her slipway at Hessle near Hull. Four days before the accident Movietone filmed the schooner when her masts were being stepped. The launch has now been postponed for about two months. SHOTLIST: GV huge waves breaking on a dockside.
