MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Athletics - Towards Tokyo. DESCRIPTION: During Britain’s athletics match against Poland at the White City, Robbie Brightwell achieved victory in the four hundred metres. In the eighty metres hurdles Mrs Pat Pryce beat Maria Piatkowska. Mike Bullivant was to win the 10,000 metres, and Mary Rand won the Long Jump, with a leap of twenty one feet, seven inches.
