Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The City Goes Gay. DESCRIPTION: Our pictures show some of the highlights of the first day of the City of London Festival, including the Lord Mayor taking the salute as the crew and officers of HMS London march past. Their ship is berthed near Greenwich and visitors were allowed to look her over. In the City the Lord Mayor cut the first slice of the roast oxen and later everybody present joined in.
