- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Whit Monday Procession. SHOTLIST: The 1964 Whit Walk (the first took place in 1801) of the Anglican Church was a colourful event, and 26 parties from various children’s organisations took part. So did a housewife in her 70’s, who had walked the route for 60 years. The Bishop of Hulme, the Right Reverend KB Ramsey, spoke to the vast crowd.
