- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Yearning for Yesterday. DESCRIPTION: With Tower Bridge as a backdrop, members of the English Folk Dance and Song Society hold a festival to celebrate Midsummer’s Day. Another event which gave full rein to nostalgia was a coaching marathon in Dorset. Eight old-time coaches, recalling the days when horsepower wasn’t packed away beneath a bonnet - when, driving was the art of controlling a four-in-hand. Finishing point, the Royal Counties Showground near Poole. The trophy goes to the team driven by Sir Dymoke White of Hampshire. SHOTLIST: Key scene. To celebrate Midsummer-Night, the English Folk Dance and Song Society held an open-air festival. Eight old-time coaches - some of the few serviceable four-in-hands left in the country, competed in the Royal Counties show coaching class at Knighton, Poole of which the Earl of Shaftesbury is the President.
