Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Lake Eyre - the Weather Is the Winner. DESCRIPTION: Donald Campbell and his team have had to accept cyclonic rainstorms flooding an area normally dry as a desert. Also this untimely termination to an arduous twelve months of preparation: an enterprise costing around a thousand pounds a day. Lake Eyre hasn’t had so much water in it since 1950.
