- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Goodwood - Ireland’s International Win. DESCRIPTION: One of the most popular Easter sporting events was the motor racing at Goodwood. And of particular interest to the fans, the ‘International 100’. Some of the drivers were World Champion Graham Hill, Innes Ireland, Bruce McLaren and Jack Brabham. Soon after the getaway it was the BRM (with Graham Hill) in the lead. Graham Hill clocked the fastest lap but dropped out with fuel trouble 5 laps from the end. Innes Ireland in the BRM-powered Lotus, took over and won at an average of over 104! A great win to crown the holiday, and well deserving the handsome Glover Trophy. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
