MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Learning About the Oceans. DESCRIPTION: Discovery, the new research ship, is a complete self-contained laboratory with equipment facilities for all branches of oceanic research. In May, she’ll be off to the Arabian Sea to take part in an international programme aimed at finding out about the currents. And here is another way of exploring the sea down below: a tube, 150 feet long, will enable Frenchman Yves Cousteau to have a look at the sea bed between Nice and Corsica from really close quarters.
