- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Now Is the Winter of Our Discontent. DESCRIPTION: Pictures of snow and ice bound Britain. The Arctic weather has brought discomfort all over the country. Canals and railways have been frozen up, but essential supplies have been kept going. Even the building trade has managed to keep going under a plastic cover. Our pictures show by comparison shots of the Holiday Exhibition and the crashing of the Niagara Falls which happened 25 years ago. SHOTLIST: Key scene. Frozen sea at Southend (3 shots).
