Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ready for Blast-Off. DESCRIPTION: On the pad at the MARE on Spade Adam is Blue Streak, first stage in a rocket launcher for Europe’s Space Programme. With its two upper stages being developed in France and West Germany a hundred pound package could be sent to the Moon. Only three feet long it cost all of three pounds to build. Three Dorset schoolboys are the key men and they spent 18 months developing Wanderer the First. 17 year old Peter Stokes sent her off and she reached a full hundred feet. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
