- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Safety on Ice. DESCRIPTION: Last Winter we had too much of this sort of thing. Indeed, Britain often suffers just as badly as the Continent, but somehow it always seems to cause us more hold-ups and hazards. But here’s a new development in tyres which could overcome a lot of that sliding feeling. It gives far more grip on ice than even this special all-weather tyre. The secret? Include chopped steel wire in the tread to give a rough wire-brush effect. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MS men pulling car in street. Same. Wheel. Interior shot of car. Wheel. MS car on ice. CU wheel spinning round. CU man puts hand across tyres. Man ties two cars together. MCU three men. CU cars. MS cars have tug-o-war. Car with new tyres pulls other. (3 shots) car skids round corner in snow. MS penguin across water.
