MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Women’s AAA - White City. DESCRIPTION: The Womens Athletic Championships took place at the White City, and here is the final of the 80 metres hurdles. It was won by Betty Moore in 10.7 secs. Now the high jump. The winner was Miss Balas from Romania with a jump of 6 feet. The 880 yards was another international event. World title holder Jennie Jordan (UK) finished it in 2 mins 8 secs. But highlight of the championships was Dorothy Hyman’s performance in the sprints. She won the 100 yards in 10.6. Miss Hyman was in the same form for the 220: she equalled the UK All Comers record with yet another championship. SHOTLIST: Hurdles. Betty Moore wins the final of the 80 metres hurdles in 10.7 secs. Miss Fisch of Germany takes an early lead but was quickly overtaken by Miss Moore. High Jump. Miss Balas from Romania wins with a jump of 6 ft. Miss Slaap finishes in second place and Thelma Hopkins 3rd. 880 Yards. World title holder Jennie Jordan wins - time 2 mins 8 seconds. Sprint. Dorothy Hyman wins from Betty Moore in the 100 yards sprint in the time of 10.6 seconds. 220 yards. Dorothy Hyman wins equalling the UK All Comers record.
