MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: British Athletics Win. DESCRIPTION: Indoor athletics at Wembley. The 60 yards sprint, a British win, was taken by Cmela in 6.4. The winner of the long jump was Klein of Germany, and Howell’s 23 feet 7 took third place. The mile was another second day event in this Britain and Northern Ireland V West Germany match. Norpoth of West Germany was the winner. His time, 4 minutes 14.5. Finally, the medley relay one of the victories that helped to give British men athletes a 13 point win over West Germany.
