MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Army’s Young Sweats. DESCRIPTION: At the Medical Research Council Labs in London, volunteer guinea-pigs from the Royal Sussex Regiment helped in a test, because the Army (as well as the Council) wants to know more about reactions to above-normal temperatures. So, there were sweat-suits for the young sweats to aid the experiment. And a test with lights, requiring quick hand movements. There was also the sauna-room, where extreme heat and humidity can be simulated. And constant checks on temperature were made. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MS boy weigh in. MCU boy.
