This was the first full international to be played here under the newly installed floodlights. Then, the match got going before a crowd of over 74,000. Twenty minutes passed before a goal. Then, St John had it in the net. In the second half, Wales had their moments, but presently, it was all Scotland again. In the fiftieth minute, St John scored a second.
