- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Twenty Five Years Ago. DESCRIPTION: The occasion was the 25th anniversary of the BBC Television Service, the first in the world. And Movietone, by the way, was first to supply the newsreel for the service until television closed down at the beginning of World War Two. Her Majesty the Queen was received by Sir Arthur Fforde (Chairman) and Mr Hugh Carleton-Greene (Director General), when she visited the BBC Television Centre on this occasion.
