Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Goods Yard Goddess. DESCRIPTION: The unlikeliest artist’s studio in Britain is a London goods yard. Here, sculptor Sean Crampton is working on this statue of Persephone, goddess of Spring. She’s been commissioned by Mr Robert Smith, and when finished, he’ll carry her off to his home in Scotland. When the original block arrived, it was too big for the studio. So, British Railways allowed the artist to work on the spot. SHOTLIST: Key scene. MS goddess. CU pan - Sean Crampton at work.
