Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Largest in Europe. DESCRIPTION: The third largest single-arch span in the world now links Cheshire and Lancashire. It replaces the old transporter bridge, due to be broken up. The transporter which has been in use for over 50 years made its final crossing between Runcorn and Widnes. Princess Alexandra was there to give the new bridge a Royal opening. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
