Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: A Celebration. DESCRIPTION: It was the 8th anniversary of the revolution which made Egypt a Republic, and President Nasser, in office since 1956, looked on proudly as the celebration parade passed the saluting base. This cavalcade was as much a show of the Republic’s military strength as the anniversary of a revolution. SHOTLIST: Camels march past. LS Nasser. Parade. Troops march past MLS MS CU. Helicopter flies over. Military march past. Tanks drive past. Nasser. CU troops march past. The second part of the film shows the Egyptian parliament, shot of night scenes.
