MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Premier’s Tour. DESCRIPTION: A gold mine at West Driefontein was early on the list of engagements, when Mr Macmillan visited South Africa. It’s one of the largest gold mines in the world. The Premier made a tour of inspection and had a look at the ground level installations after going down over four thousand feet below ground. And he helped to pour gold from a furnace into a mouldHere is the Premier, the warrior chief, complete with shield and knobkerrie, presented to him on his visit to the Protectorate of Swaziland.
