MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Lord Taverners’ Ball. DESCRIPTION: Prince Philip, patron and twelfth man of the Lord’s Taverners, is seen here having a look at the great display of prizes to be won. This was at their annual ball, held in a London hotel. There was dancing and motor-racing, and the Taverners’ team were competing against the BRDC team.
