MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: New Research Lab. DESCRIPTION: Our pictures show the new Ship Hydrodynamics Laboratory at Feltham, Middlesex. Prince Philip, who was received there by Lord Hailsham (Minister for Science and Technology), unveiled the tablet recording the opening of the Laboratory. His Royal Highness then inspected the very fine equipment. The large towing tank, for example, which is nearly twice as long as the one in Teddington and will help in solving many problems of ship design.
