Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: A Sultan Enthroned. DESCRIPTION: In Kedah, a Malay State, the Sultan Abdul Halim Muazzam Shah drove with his beautiful wife for his installation as ruler of the State. To the beat of ceremonial drums he proceeded to his throne where the Kris of State was presented by the Grand Chamberlain. Alor Star (the capital) was ablaze that historic night which was celebrated with music and dancing. SHOTLIST: Inspection of Guard of Honour (key). FS procession. Pan Sultan and wife in back of car. TS locals play flute and drums. CU locals play flute. Interior low angle - Sultan and procession. Another angle - same carrying Royal Regalia. CU sword.
