MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Sir Winston in the USA. DESCRIPTION: During his stay at the White House, Sir Winston Churchill was invited by President Eisenhower to pay a visit to his farm at Gettysburg. The two war-time comrades (to quote Sir Winston) flew there by helicopter and got around the farm in the Presidential Scooter. Sir Winston’s visit was a private one, but we can be sure Britain’s most famous statesmen discussed matters of moment with Ike. SHOTLIST: GV White House. MS White House.
