- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Peace for Cyprus. DESCRIPTION: The final session at the Conference was attended by Mr Karamanlis, the Greek Prime Minister, and Britain’s Premier, Mr Harold Macmillan. All-round agreement had now been achieved. After the news had broken, Archbishop Makarios made a statement. The London Clinic, where Mr Menderes was recovering from his minor injuries after the Turkish plane which was bringing him and his delegation to the conference, crashed, was the focus of interest.
