MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Comet Handed Over. DESCRIPTION: The handing over of the first Comet IV to British Overseas Airways at London Airport was a big moment for De Havillands and BOAC. Group-Captain John Cunningham who’d done so much in testing Comets was there, when the Certificate of Airworthiness was handed by Sir Geoffrey de Havilland to Sir Gerard d’Erlanger.
