Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Tanker Ablaze. DESCRIPTION: The American Tanker SS Graham collided with another tanker, the Gulf Oil. Fireboats from Newport Harbour poured tons of water into the blazing hulls, but still they couldn’t quench the fury of a million gallons of burning petrol. Scores of seamen were seriously burned or injured, while 15 lost their lives. SHOTLIST: LS fire (2). MS smoke tilt to ship on fire. MS bows of burning ship. MS small ship by fire.
