MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Baghdad Pact Meeting. DESCRIPTION: Representatives of five nations met at Lancaster House, London, to discuss a crisis. Mr Macmillan, who presided, opened the meeting with a tribute to King Feisal. Present were: Dr Eqbal, Prime Minister of Iran, Mr Noon, Prime Minister of Pakistan, and Turkey’s Premier Mr Menderes with Mr Dulles. The United States, though not yet a full member of the Pact, has now undertaken the heartening news, when reading the declaration. Then, the declaration was signed by the members of the Baghdad Pact.
