- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Despatch From Malta. DESCRIPTION: For years, the Royal Navy has provided employment for Malta’s dockyard workers. In future, it’s commercial shipping they’ll have to rely on. Some eight thousand men work in the dockyard, but assurances have been given, that there’ll still be a lot of Admiralty work available, for some years to come. On Cup Final Day, Valetta’s radio shops were almost besieged by people who wanted to see the match. The reception was good and Servicemen had time to see Nat Lofthouse carry off that Cup!
