- Summary
- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Navy Visits Canada. DESCRIPTION: Steaming in towards the big harbour at Halifax, Nova Scotia, ships of the Royal Navy were returning from a special assignment in the Atlantic, where they’d been on extensive manoeuvres. The accent had been on anti-submarine exercises, in which fourteen warships of Britain’s Home Fleet had been working with fifteen of the Royal Canadian Navy. Destroyers played a big part in the manoeuvres, and so did Aircraft-Carriers, such as HMS Bulwark, for example. SHOTLIST: GV fleet. Aerial shot of ship. Aerial pan of ships. Pan of aircraft carrier. MS submarine. Pan of same and crew. Aerial shot destroyers. Aerial shot of Aircraft carrier ‘Bulwark’. MS pan of ships in harbour. Different angle same. Closer same. MS ships.
