MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Mr Eisenhower & NATO Conference. DESCRIPTION: The flags of fifteen nations flew at Orly Airport. Mr Dulles, the American Secretary of State, General Norstad, the Supreme Commander, and Field Marshal Lord Montgomery, his deputy, waited there to greet the President of the United States. Mr Eisenhower was officially welcomed by Monsieur Coty, the French President. His drive through the city was something of a triumph, it was of course his first visit since the war days. At the Palais de Chaillot, where the arrival of Britain’s Premier and Foreign Secretary was followed by that of President Eisenhower and Mr Dulles. This was to be a round-table conference between the heads of fifteen nations, representing some five hundred million people. SHOTLIST: Shots of aircraft arriving.
