MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Launching of the ‘Pendennis Castle’. DESCRIPTION: The 29,000 ton liner Pendennis Castle, was all ready for her launching at Belfast. All ready except the shipwrights, who refused to co-operate unless a wages claim in the Yard was settled first. Nevertheless, Lady Rotherwick, who went to perform the ceremony, was at-least able to give the ship a name. SHOTLIST: Various shots of shipyard. Shot of ‘Pendennis Castle’. CU name.
