Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Gale Damage. DESCRIPTION: Road block at Mill Hill, just outside London - a fine old beach tree, tumbled by the fury of a hundred mile an hour wind. It crashed into the grounds of a prep school. Something more serious at Hatfield New Town, Hertfordshire, where houses literally had their roofs blown off. New houses with roofs of aluminium sheeting. SHOTLIST: Shots of large beech tree felled in the gale blocking road. Men saw pieces and branches away. Shots of school boys from Belmont Prep School collecting wood ready for fireworks night bonfire. GV of damaged houses, sheets of aluminium hanging on trees etc., shots of houses minus roofs.
