MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Soviet May Day. DESCRIPTION: May Day in Moscow’s Red Square. The parade followed tradition. Men of the Red Army on the march - men of the Kremlin watched from the Lenin-Stalin tomb. The well drilled turn out was quite a spectacle. On the ground, conventional units of Russia’s huge military strength, in the air, Russia’s latest Jet Bombers and Fighters. SHOTLIST: LS Red Square. Troops march past. Group on balcony. Sailors march past. Tomb. Bulganin and Khrushchev, Mikoyan, Zhukov, Malenkov etc. Soldiers. LS armoured cars. CU of guns. LS of army. Fly past of jets. Crowds. Balcony. Children rush on and give flowers to the leaders. Balloons are released alongside doves. LS youth and banners. Balloons. Close up of crowds. Long shot.
