- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Duke of Edinburgh’s Tour. DESCRIPTION: The Royal Yacht Britannia took the Duke ‘way down South’ into the Antarctica during his round-the-world cruise. Whaling is the chief industry in these parts, the Duke transferred to a whale catching vessel to inspect the ship and talk to their company about their jobs. He also called at the island of Georgia where he visited the grave of that great explorer Sir Ernest Shackleton. He was accompanied by Lieutenant Commander Parker. SHOTLIST: Shot of Britannia.
