- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: UNO Take Over the Canal. DESCRIPTION: Port Said is still the focus of world attention. But now it’s the United Nation’s Emergency Force that’s coming more and more into the picture. A Yugoslav contingent underline the build-up of the force. Another recent arrival at Port Said was a Danish contingent, who arrived by train by another sector, they were to join the Norwegian troops in carrying out patrol duties in the town. Swedish troops about to leave for Egypt, were first inspected by King Gustav. The whole situation in the Canal Zone is now undergoing a fairly rapid transformation. The announcement of Anglo-French withdrawal is followed by a phased take-over. UN troops are taking over from the British in advanced positions at El Cap. SHOTLIST: Aerial of Port Said. Yugoslavian troops arriving on ships. British troops wave from quayside. Danish troops sitting around smoking etc. Swedish troops being inspected by King Gustav before they leave Sweden.
